Two Peas - A Year in Cards - February

If you frequent Two Peas in a Bucket website, they are having a Year In Cards education class. Each month, a new video is posted for different techniques and card layouts to try. Here is my first of three cards for February 2009 class. It is a gate fold Thank You card which we hand cut, crumpled and finished the flowers on the outside of the card. There are two more cards in the class - hopefully I'll get to them this weekend. If you're interested in the class, here's the link. I stamped random images for the front of the card and highlighted with a pink and clear glitter pen. To keep the gate fold closed, I decided to punch holes and add the ribbon. A button and a gem finish the flower.

The inside is stamped with Studio G's $1.00 stamp and I used punches for the inside flowers and Marth Stewart punch for the edges of the brown paper. Paper is from Provocraft. Thanks for looking!

Happy Anniversary!

Here is the awesome anniversary card that Cindy made for Frank and I. We celebrated 12 years together on Sunday, February 15th. Isn't it cute? I just love the "bling" on the aces!! Here's the inside. I hope you can see the glitter "Happy Anniversary".

Random Cards

Here are some random cards I've made over the past week. All images are colored with Prisma Pencils and gamsol.
This is for the Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge 215. I'm finally inking up stamps that have never met an inkpad before. The sentiment is from MFT. This card was made for SCS Color Challenge (I forgot which one)...but it's an Impression Obsession stamp which I fell in love with at my local stamp store. Sentiment and tiny bird is from Hero Arts.

Finally, is an Inky Antics stamp and sentiment. I love this chick. Reminds me of when I use to lay out for a loooong time in the sun.
Thanks for looking! Maria

Gift Card Holder

The gal who does Cindy and my nails is having a birthday on Friday. When I was in with her last week, she mentioned that she loves Starbucks Coffee (even though there is a Dunkin Donuts right next to the nail place). So, I decided to make her a gift card holder and get her a Starbucks gift card for her birthday, since I didn't see her over the holidays.

Here's the outside, using Penny Black stamp, colored with prisma pencils and gamsol, punches and bling. The sentiment is from MFT. The inside stamp image is from Hero Arts. The gift card will slide behind the brown scallop.

Directions to make this can be found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=400019
