A Year In Cards - January

Here are three cards from the Two Peas In A Bucket "A Year In Cards" Class www.twopeasinabucket.com/education_class.asp?cl=8 These are the January Cards. I actually used all scrap paper and Studio G $1.00 stamps.

Get Well Card

Here's a Get Well card using MFT's Bunny Slippers set for a friend that recently had surgery. Here I used watercolor paper and Le Plumme markers. Still working on getting better at this technique. Also used the puffy paint again.

Happy Birthday Cards

Here are two cards I made in the past few days for Birthdays. I used MFT's "You Take The Cake" and colored w/ prisma pencils and gamsol. I used puffy paint for the icing on the picture below.
This is also colored w/ prismas and gamsol and I used provocraft paper.

Origami Box

On Splitcoast Stampers, I participated in one of their challenges to create an Origami Box. I decided to make this for Janice's daughter, Maddie, for her birthday today - to go along with the items we made for her birthday party this weekend. SCS had great directions and someone linked a video tutorial for the box folding, which made it even easier! I made six matching 4x4 note cards to go inside of it as well. Thanks for looking! Birthday Notepads

Our friend Janice is our best customer!! Last year she 'hired' us to make altered paint cans for her daughter's birthday party (sorry, I don't have a picture to share). This year, she asked for covered notepads. For the girl's note pads, the base is made out of shiny heavy cardstock and used DCWV Posies Glitter for the main patterned paper. They are then embellished with punched pieces, sizzix die cuts and bling. Also used was shrink material for the girl's initial in the lower right and corner. I used sizzix RoundABout die, then shrunk it and embossed with glitter.

For the boy's notepad, we wanted to keep it simple. A heavy brown cardstock with brown and light blue striped paper (I don't remember the manufacturer). Then punched circles, embossed with cuttlebug swiss dots, added buttons and made a shrink initial "S" as well.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

My neighbor is hosting a Jazzercise Fundraiser for Susan G. Komen tonight. I'm unable to attend, but made her 50 of these giveaway gifts for those who participated. I stamped MFT's "Think Pink" set on watercolor paper and colored in w/ Marvy LePlumme's. Also wrapped the nuggets with paper and stamped the ribbon on. Thanks for looking! Maria
