Hugs to you

Here's a Penny Black image that I colored up with prisma pencils and gamsol for the gal that took over for me at work. Last Friday, one of her cats got really sick and she had to put him down. I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her during this tough time.  But what started off as a sympathy card - also turned into a congratulations card.
She went to the CT Humane Society where Cindy and I volunteer and adopted a kitten later that day! She told me on Saturday - so I had the opportunity to change my sentiments on the inside before giving her the card on Monday.  I know she's still sad for the cat she lost, but now her new kitty, Abbey, will help her get through it.

Hope you're having a great week! Thanks for visiting.

Such a cute card and I'm glad the story had a happy ending. You really are a prismacolor pencil queen! (or should I say princess?)

You little kitty is so cute! How wonderful that she adopted another cat after losing hers....I think everyone should do that after losing an animal. It just makes you get over the loss quicker.

This is adorable, and the embossed paper plus the other papers and trims are perfect!

Ah man, this made me all sniffly. I'm having to find homes for my babies (four legged babies) due to really bad asthma. Never had it before my three pregnancies in four years... but now I'm visiting the hospital twice a month.

The card is really awesome. I love the colors and will be stealing that color combo for my next more masculine card.

Thank you for sharing (regardless of the tears hehe)

Awww, the kitten really does look like he just wants to hug the butterflies, if only he could catch them. And although your friend's cat will be missed, knowing you care enough to make a card is some condolence.
