Holiday Tags - Day 6

This is one of my favorite tags.  Going through my stash of Christmas things I found these acrylic bulbs.  After watching one of Tim Holtz's videos about adding 'jump rings' to one of his die cuts, I was immediately inspired to have these bulbs hang off the tag.  I also have a Studio G xmas bulb stamp and knew this combo would make a fun one!
First off, I took four different distress inks (yellow, red, blue & green) and mushed them on my craft sheet. Then I took water mixed with perfect pearls and wet the colors. Once they beaded up, I laid the tag down on top of the mixture and moved it around. I heat set it and repeated the process.  Once dried, I stamped the bulbs with Stazon and colored them in with my Sharpie markers.  I added clear Stickles on top of the bulbs and let it dry.

In the meantime, I die cut a Sizzix bulb and colored it with distress ink again. I embossed the top of the bulb in silver and when it was still hot I re-dipped it in the powder again and again. There are three layers of silver embossing, so it's nice and thick.

Once the tag was dry, I added the bulbs with my jump rings.  I'm so happy how this tag came out :)
Hope you're having a great day!!
Thanks for coming by!

This is a fun tag, I love this one, well I love them all, so picking a favorite is not an easy chore. Adding the bulbs on the bottom is such a great accent. Loving the pictures of your puppies, that is so cute, had to show my daughter, she loved them. It looks like Nolie is actually smiling, not so much for Layla. Love it.
