Perfect Pair

Hello! So Happy It's Thursday!  (lol)........but I am!  This will be a short post.......but I've got to give props to two cardmakers for whomI took their creations and made my card.

First is Vicky from Clips-n-Cuts.  She posts Saturday videos and on her January 10th video, she colored up these Hero Arts pears so AWESOMELY (is that a word)......but yes.....awesomely....that I had to try it!

Second is Lucy from Lucy's Cards. On January 11th, she used the same pears to make a great card and sentiment....that I took from it as well.

As a result......here's my card:
The pears are colored with distress inks. OMG - HOW EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!   The letters are Martha Stewart clear stamps (I hate these - but they are my only ones this size)....and then I inked the edges to match the pears.   So, quite a simple coloring job, but the letters took a bunch of time.

Thank you Vicky and Lucy for your inspiration!!

Thanks for your visit!

This card just took my breath away, when it came up on the screen, gorgeous and what coloring, will have to check out that blog. You did such an amazing job, it looks so real and 3D. Love it!! Take care and stay safe in all that snow, but the puppies can't wait, at least they don't need snowsuits, mittens and boots. :)

(speaking of dove chocolates on cards...that's a good idea to add some chocolate to a card! I think you've inspired another idea....) :D

OMG Maria.....those pears look REAL!!! They are colored so pretty. Wonderful card. I'm really going to check out that video and see how that coloring is done - dang, then I'll probably have to just go buy the ink to do it with - and then, I guess I'll need to buy the stamp too! Um....that's ok if I do all that and it turns out as pretty as this!
