SFYTT- July "Happy Birthday"

Happy Tuesday!  I had a lazy weekend and didn't blog yesterday - but I'm back today!  Here is my first ever entry in the Sketch For You To Try challenge.  This is the July sketch and I made a birthday card for my friend Rob.  We celebrated his wife's birthday on Saturday, but also snuck in a song for him on Saturday too!

Obviously, it had to be a masculine card, so I got out my 'masculine' paper and this sketch really guided me with the balloons.  I barely squeezed in the PTI sentiment on that panel, didn't I??  You can barely see the music background I stamped out.  I had the Happy Birthday song in my mind while making the card!!

You still have time to play with this sketch. It runs until July 31st!!

Hope you have a nice day!!!  It's cooled off a bit in CT - so we're all happy up here!

Thanks for your visit!

This is fantastic!!! Love everything about it! The balloons with that paper and the touch of white just makes it all perfect. Glad to hear you have some cooler weather, I think it cools down to 101 over the weekend :) I figure next thing we know we will be complaining it is too cold, so I just accept the heat now.

A great card; perfect for a man too, and they are not always easy to make for. I love it. Kate x

Such an UNUSUAL colour combo there. Those balloons are simply popping out and that brown looks like jute mesh. Very impressive!

I love the balloons! The look fantastic pieced out of these masculine papers. Are they shiny? They look shiny and fabulous. I noticed the music background right away. Perfect choice.
