Sympathy.........again.........

OK - I promise.........(or hope to promise) that these are the last sympathy cards for a while, but I have to say.........I LOVE HOW THESE CARDS CAME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been watching a lot of Vicky's videos and I just LOVE how she uses her Distress Inks.  So...after her techniques have been ingrained in my brain..........I knew exactly what I wanted to do for a sympathy card for my cousin who lost her dad recently.   I used the same Memory Box stamp and same technique, but then changed up the layout a bit.

I embossed the Memory Box stamp with white powder and then blended blues & greens (greens only on the last card).  Then I stamped it again and cut out the flower buds and colored them.  I glued them on, but curled the tips.

I used a PTI impression plate for one of the panel backgrounds and then used PTI and MFT sentiments. Ribbons and buttons and these were done.......but I really love this Memory Box stamp and how these came out!  Hope you did too :)

Thanks for your visit!

Girl, you are getting to be a master of those distress inks! I love how you get them to be so rich in color but still dreamy. Beautiful cards, although I hope you get to make some non-sympathy cards soon!

I agree with you these came out beautiful, so sorry that you have to keep making sympathy cards though. Love the embossing and that stamp, such an elegant touch to the card. Hope you are doing well. Lucky plays with his little gift all the time :)

Hi Maria,

Sorry about your cousin's bereavement - am sure these cards would provide comfort... they are both lovely and I love the way the petals turn out and that distressed effect looks awesomely good.
