So, today I have a few cards to share using one of my new favorite stamps! It's an Impression Obsession 'cover-a-card' leaf background. I got it a few weeks ago and started stamping with it right away! I think I have a new 'leaf' obsession.
First up is a birthday card I made for one of my best customers and fellow dog volunteer, Gisela. I covered the stamp with three colors of Distress Inks and then spritzed lightly with water. I came out with this awesome background! (LOVE!)
For the sentiment panel, I stamped the a Verve sentiment and then stamped another one on a post-it note and cut closely to use it as a mask and then repeated the process to come out with another layer of beautiful leaves.
For card number two - I embossed the leaves with white embossing powder on watercolor paper and heat set. Then I squished my Distress Ink pads on my craft sheet and spritzed with a lot of water and then placed the panel down on top and mushed it around. (Like my 'squished' and 'mushed' techniques?) Here's the result:
I added a ribbon and a Hero Arts sentiment to finish it off.
For cards number 3 & 4 - I repeated the technique above, but cut the leaves into squares before 'mushing'. I inked the edges with a darker brown so they'd pop a little more. I followed a sketch from somewhere out there on the WWW...but can't remember which one now!!!
Thanks for taking a look at my new obsession!!! Have a wonderful day :)
Thanks for your visit!

These are gorgeous cards, love them all!! Love the squish and mush techniques, it really works and I am starting to really like distressed inks and what can be done with them. I remember those beautiful fall days with that deep blue gorgeous sky, one thing I miss is fall in New England.
Wowzers, Maria!! What fabulous cards! I love that leaf stamp you picked up, and what cool techniques you've used with it. Love, love, love the mixed colors. Just stunning!!
Just brill! ALL of them are simply fantastic. Love the stamp. And the colours are just so perfect. I don't have a favourite coz' all of them are equally good. You are on a roll.

All the mushing and squashing paid off as these are beautiful!!! I'm really liking all the things you do with the distressed inks - does this mean I need to get some and try some of this?!!
Beautiful cards
Hope you're feeling better now.
