Taz was originally brought to CT Humane Society from an animal control probably about 2 years ago. I don't know how he ended up at animal control, but we took him from them. He was with us at CT Humane for quite a long time awaiting his forever home. While at CT Humane, he was the doggy ambassador. If we wanted to know if another dog liked dogs, we'd introduce him to Taz because Taz loved everyone!
He got adopted out to a home........but was brought back for a few reasons - which were no fault of his own. He was with us for a few more months and then in February of 2011, he got adopted out to a single gal. I kept in touch with her periodically and she just loved him and spoiled him. They went hiking very frequently and we were so happy he finally found his forever home!
In October, he was surrendered to our CT Humane headquarters. We COULD NOT believe it! Apparently, the owner lost her job and couldn't afford him anymore. I couldn't bear for him to be in the shelter environment anymore and we arranged for him to be transferred down to the Humane Society where I volunteer, so I could work with the behaviorist to introduce him to our dogs.
Well, long story long.......he is now our 4th dog (possibly temporarily). He's doing pretty well, but he doesn't know how to play gently. He's solid as a rock and he 'nudges' our other three, who don't really appreciate it! So, I will try to work with him at home and try and find a permanent forever home for him, where he can be the only dog or be matched with a dog that meets his energy level.
But, in the meantime........he's now a Lovello and we'll give him all the love and care and exercise that he needs!!
Here's a few shots of Taz and Buddy:
Thanks for your visit!

That made such a touching read... What a true dog lover you are... hope Taz finds a decent and loving home soon! And thank God that he is behaving well in the picture atleast!!! Lol.
My craft room is so messy, it is kinda driving me away. Wish I could find time and energy to sort it out at good speed! When you are a hoarder like me, it is like moving countries - just organizing all that I have... and my greed knows no bounds. I still visit the scrap booking store and look for tempting stuff.

what a story, glad it had a happy ending......you are such a fantastic lady!
Oh, I know Taz will be happy in your home for however long he is there! He looks so regal in his black and white!
He is such a handsome dog, hope it all works out for him. He is definitely in very loving hands.
I remember the continuing saga you were having with Taz and so glad he's got a good home now! Really like the blog header with all those cute little doggie faces...just makes me want to reach out and give every one of them a hug!

Oh, how lucky for Taz that there is someone like you!! I hope he can find a great permanent home. The poor thing, having to go from place to place!! I love dogs, but live in an apartment, so I just have Rascal, my DD's cat. We share him while she is living with me. What a nice Christmas Taz will have!!
Poor little Taz!! He is SO lucky to have you, Maria! I love how much you love and care for animals. I think that's the mark of a truly wonderful person! :)
What a good looking dog Taz is. I admire all the work you do with the animals.
Poor Taz. I bet it's hard on him going from place to place. Glad you got to take him in (even if it might be temporary). I hope he can find his forever home soon, especially if it's staying with you all.
Awww, poor Taz. All the changes must be hard on him. I hope you can find him a great forever home. I know he is in great hands.
