Celebrate Today and Always...

It's Sunday!  Are you celebrating that fact?  Hope so!

I've got two cards to show you today using the same image.  I got this Hero Arts stamp a while back and REALLY like it...........but...........I don't like that it has the scalloped border.  I haven't found a way of using the stamp without having to cut out the scallops by hand. (If you have this stamp - please link me up with your cards so I can see it in a different light!)

I colored up both of these images a while back and because of my dislike of the border, I never used them on cards.  This week I decided to finally put them to use.

Both images are heat embossed and then sponged colored with Distress Inks.  I freestyled the layouts - they are not too intricate.

What do you think? Any other ideas on how to use this stamp?

Thanks for your visit!

I love the cards and the watercolor look to them as well as the two colors and layouts, so different looking. Hmmm...how else to use it, not sure. Hope you have a great weekend and the sun is shining. It is in the 90's here and the pool is in the upper 80's so that's where I will be today, got the chores out of the way during the week, then hubby is going to smoke some ribs and chicken tomorrow :), loves his smoker, so Texan.

Both are wonderful, Maria. Love the way you did the buttons on that first card....and the embossing on the second. Really like that image too. Um....the scallops.....about the only thing I could see to do would be to cute them off - but then you'd lose part of the image. I personally think it's great with the scallops though - and you just make it prettier with these cards.

Hope you have a great weekend.....just hot here - as usual!

These cards are downright beautiful, it would seem that would never had an issue with the scallops. The coloring and the embossing really make the flowers pop, and I don't notice the scallops right away.

Ooh, the images are beautiful. Love the embossing and resist coloring on them. So bright and happy.
I don't know that stamp.......what does it look like if you don't cut the scalloped border out?

Ooooh, this is a gorgeous stamp but I can totally understand what you mean about cutting it out. Did you try googling it to see what other people have made? I love the warm, summery colors you used.

Such lovely cards... love the softness of the first... and the stamp is so gentle and sweet. The second card is lovely too but I cannot seem to get the whole picture - thanks to blogger. Love the colour combo and the sentiment...
