Mix Media box

Hello!!! Hope you're having a great week so far!!!  So a while back.......maybe even two years back - I was asked to make a keepsake for a friend's baby.   I wasn't sure what I was going to make - so I bought a few supplies.  One that I bought and didn't use was a wooden box.

There it sat on my shelf......and since I wasn't going to use it, I brought it back to Michaels.  Problem was, I didn't buy it there - so it came back home with me and I decided to try and paint it up for a mix media  piece.  Well......I'm pretty happy with the result!

Now.......that IS supposed to be a poppy........but since I can't draw to save my life - it's my best attempt. LOL.  I'm definitely going to practice so I can draw better ones in the future.......but I love the vibrancy of the whole piece!

I used a bunch of colored modeling paste with stencils, bubble wrap and more white dots!

I love the script stamp I used too and I'm trying to get better at doodling!

I'll put this for sale at our Craft Sale for Pups (see my top side bar for more info).  Hopefully it will bring in a few dollars!!!

Have a great day!!!

Thanks for your visit!

I am glad that this box came back with you from Michaels because you were destined to produce this super creation with it. Gosh, so much there to admire. The poppy looks like an abstract poppy and in modern art it is all fine. I can draw and not colour and you colour so brilliantly, you know.
Wish you lots of luck for the sale on 20th. I did not offer to send anything because it takes months for stuff to reach overseas and frankly I did not have any cards ready.
Love,
M

I love the bright colors too and can appreciate the drawing issues, straight lines are rather challenging for me let alone an image!
