Cherry Blossoms

This is one of the first flower stamps I ever bought. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it on the store shelf. It's a Rubber Stampede cherry blossom stamp, which I colored with my prisma pencils and gamsol. I actually found some cherry blossom ribbon at Michaels the other day, that I was 'supposed' to use with this card...but when I put it up against the (almost) finished card...it was too much....so that ribbon will have to wait!
I used a MFT sentiment on the card above and a PTI sentiment on the one below. I also turned the branch so it came from the opposite direction of the top card.
Well, that's it for today!! Thanks again for visiting the blog. I appreciate the time you took to come and take a look!!!
As a side note....I want to wish Christine (my neighbor and friend) a Happy Birthday!

Oh! Oh! Funny story! That stamp is the exact same stamp that would become the first stamp I ever bought too! It is very near and dear to my heart :D I love how you used it on these cards!

Just noticed I am SUPER behind on reading your blog! Guess I have more comments to leave :D ~Jacqueline

I love this stamp too, it is one of my favorites in my collection. I think it is simply beautiful. Great cards too! I love that you used it going both ways.

what i like about these two cards is the first one, with the branch reaching up, conveys hope and ascension, while the second one conveys that you are reaching out to the person you are sending it to. Nice work!
