Bella Boy Birthday

Say that three times fast!  Well, I gotta love Facebook!  A middle-school friend contacted me a few weeks ago through Facebook to see if I could make a wedding card for her. I had one in 'stock' that she liked and then she asked me if I would make her son a birthday card for his upcoming birthday! How nice!

She told me a few things her son liked and we settled on this VW Bug from Stamping Bella.  Now, the original bug has a daisy flower right in the middle (definitely not appropriate for an 11 year old boy).  So, I covered the daisy with scotch tape, inked my stamp and then removed the tape, stamped image and voila, no daisy!
I stamped the image twice, so I could 'pop' the bug up (you can see the layers from the angle I took the picture) The bug is colored with prisma pencils and I used glossy accents on the headlights.  I added JJ's name to the plate and a balloon with his age. I finished it off with some twine, a PTI sentiment and a button where the daisy was because the middle was too bare.

Well, I'm pleased with the result. Hopefully Paula and her son will be too!
Thanks for stopping by!

This is too cute! I love the colors, the dots and the image. I think you were right not many boys would like the daisy!
