Doggy Sympathy

Wahhh, I had to make THREE dog sympathy cards last week.  One for my brother, who had to put his 7-year old shepherd, Max, down.  One for friends who put their 13-ish year old dog down, and one for my hubby, whose client had to do the same.

I reached for my DCWV dog paper pack and my go-to poem about pet loss. I just think it's the most beautiful saying and it has deep meaning for me.

I made two different card fronts:

And here is the inside:
I used some new RAK brads from Kathy & Lucky and Hero Arts sentiments.

R.I.P. Max

Thanks for your visit!

Beautiful cards! I think I should try to make a few gum paste cards :-)

These are such great cards, but so sad that they had to put their puppies down, such a hard thing to do. Glad you could use the brads, they just reminded me of you and all the wonderful things you do for dogs.

So sad to have to make cards like this - but they're so pretty and know they'll be appreciated. That sentiment is just wonderful too.

Beautiful card and poem. I've never read that one before, but it is perfect for this sad occasion. I'm sure all three recipients will treasure each card.

Oh Maria, it is always so sad when someone loses a pet! Last year, we lost our 16 year old shepherd mix and the year before, our 15 year old black lab to cancer. It still breaks my heart. One of the most comforting things were the cards we recieved from friends and family. I kept them all! The poem you shared on your card is just beautiful and I'm sure your cards will be very appreciated. :)

Sorry to hear that three dogs passed away and you had to make these cards... But they are wonderful cards and must have brought so much comfort to their owners.

The sentiment almost had my eyes welling up.
