We were so grateful to all the people who donated all of their 'goods' to be sold at our tag sale. We quickly filled up my two car huge garage AND then filled up 1 1/2 bays of my neighbor's garage. Cindy also kept items at her house until the last day.
We tagged and tagged and tagged and thankfully had the help of my mother-in-law Viola - who works for her cousin's tag sale company.
I was up at 5:30am on Saturday morning hanging signs around our hood. Cindy, Jill, my hubby Frank, my cousin Chris and Cindy's brother all met up at 7am to start organizing. Patty came shortly after and we set up our driveway and garage by category (sporting goods, furniture, kids, crafts, kitchen, appliances, jewelry&bake sale, pet stuff, etc). Of course the early-birds came, but we handled it great. We were PACKED with people!!!!!
My friend's Janice and Michael brought their three young children and set up a lemonade stand to help collect $$ for Haylee. Patty made AWESOME crumbcake and Nutella brownies and sold those! Her awesome jewelry display stand really made a difference showcasing the jewelry!
Our street had a line to get into it at times and cars were just parked all over! We were sticking to some of our prices and making deals on others. At the end of Saturday we BLEW away my $1,000.00 goal for the weekend and collected $3,200.00 !!!!!!!!!
We did it all again on Sunday - but only from 9am - 12pm. Crowds weren't as big....but we did another $1,500.00!!!!!!! (Some of that money was straight donations.......HOLY COW!!)
So needless to say - we almost raised all the money needed for Haylee with our tag sale! We are still collecting $$ and will keep the overflow for the 'next' needy dog.
I can't tell you how overwhelmed I got when receiving some of the MORE THAN GENEROUS donations. We are really blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people and so many people came just because they knew $$ was going to help Haylee. We had great volunteers come and help and I just can't say enough good things about this whole event.
So THANK YOU to those who helped us out in any way, shape or form!!! We are very fortunate to be able help others and in this case....to help Haylee.
Thanks for your visit!
