She was over my house when I sewed the front of this card as a 'test' so I thought it would be cute to make it into a card and send it off to her.
I stamped the flower and embossed in black on the card front. I stamped and embossed another flower, colored with distress inks and popped up. Can you tell from the picture? I know I saw this same flower being used as a tutorial recently........maybe on Lily Pad Cards? Honestly...I don't remember......but it obviously stuck in my head.
I used a Hero Arts sentiment and since the card was so off balance...I decided to use a Sizzix die cut for the corner (and to hide the sewing mistake!!)
Hope you're making it through the week OK!!!!
Thanks for your visit!

This is stunning! Love the flower and how you cut it out and it just pops with the colors. Awesome stitching, I am sure she will love the card. Ok, so some day my machine should come out....:)
Great card, Maria! Here I was wondering how you lined up your sewing with the corner accent so well...guess you fooled me! That flower is just gorgeous, too.
WhooHoo.......I LOVE IT!!!! Wonderful sewing Maria and a beauty of a card. Really like how you balanced it with the die too.
Dang, you're going to be sewing your own clothes before you know it! LOL!

I love the stitching! It goes very well with the card. Sometime I have got to try some stitching on a card, too.
oooh, Gorgeous!! LOVE that flower. The embossing really makes it pop and I love how you gave the flower some dimension. And way to go on your stitching. It looks fabulous!
Wowza, this is some perfect, fussy cuting, my friend! Those flowers just pop off he card and the decorated corner is a wonderful touch. Just beautiful! :)
