Craft Show Week - Day 3

Winter is for the birds!!!  That's what some people think, right?   Well, this craft item will be a nice little gift for the bird lovers out there!!

This item was a year in the making!!!  These metal boxes are suet boxes I got at the Christmas Tree Shoppe last year with the idea that I would make square card sets and put them inside as a cute packaging idea.

Well, that never happened and I really became tired of looking at these boxes in my craft room.  So, when Cindy and I went back up to the CTS, we were looking for something that we could craft up and put in there.  We couldn't come up with anything............except.........the bird food that is SUPPOSED to go in there!! LOL

So, I bought the food and crafted up a label and covered the food with a piece of patterned paper.

For the label, I cut out a piece of cardstock from a Nestabilities die. Then embossed this Inkadinkado bird and used Distress Inks to color in.  I printed up the sentiment on my computer and attached them with twine and buttons.

Here's a side shot:

So, overall........not a real difficult crafty project, but definitely a cute gift for a bird lover!

Thanks for your visit!

OK Maria.....this is PERFECT!!!!! Great gift idea and the tag and sentiment are just absolutely the BEST! If these don't sell at the craft show, I'll fly up there and buy some! LOL! Very nice.

This is a fabulous idea...I adore the bird stamp...I actually own that stamp and have never used it...you are making me rethink that. :)

Definitely cute, indeed! And the perfect gift idea, I think. Anyone would like one of these, and it looks so much fancier the way you have it packaged. Love it, Maria!

I think any bird lover would love this, especially since they get to actually use it with the food already in it! :)
