SSS130 & TSG126 - Friends

**Thank you for your sweet sentiments and thoughts for Lily**

Happy Thursday!!!  Hope you've had a great start to your day!!!  On Tuesday, I decided to play along with the There She Goes Challenge#126 - which is to use 'partial images' AND The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge#130.  This is what I came up with:

I'm really not one for square cards and I did something a little different with this one. Instead of using ONE piece of cardstock - I had pre-cut squares of the blue paper. So, I put the two pieces together and joined them using the decorative scalloped edge punch.  (I should of taken a picture of the back of the card - but they are joined by scoring the white piece and gluing both together.  To give extra enforcement, I added a few brads.

For my image, I used my TSG 'Poppies' stamp and sentiments from TSG 'Dream a New Dream' set.  I stamped a few background poppies with Versamark too!  The main image is colored with my Prisma pencils.

Here's the Sweet Stop Sketch if you want to play along:

Have a great day!!!

Thanks for your visit!

What a clever idea, I would never have thought about putting two pieces together in this way. I will be looking at scraps a whole different way. The image is beautiful!!! Love the layout and the colors. Give puppies a big hug and belly rubs, extra for Lily :)

SO very beautiful, Maria!! Totally perfect take on that sketch. Love the flowers and the partial image you used. The scalloped top trim is so pretty, and wow on your coloring!

Hi Maria,

What struck me most about this card was the second sentiment - so touching!

And what a brilliant use of partial stamping. That is one area I have to improve. Your card is lovely as ever.

I was so good with heat embossing but haven't done it for some time now and am struggling big time. The embossing powder just does not seem to melt and it keeps crumbling even after patiently applying heat for a long time.

Made 4 horrible cards and am so put off!

Any tips would be welcome.

xxx Monica

Very nice card, I love those shades of blue and green together. What a great way to use some of those precut papers too. I know I have a ton of lose from left over projects that I need to use too.
