Hello blog readers!!! (The few....the proud....enlisted!!) I have a really cute card to show you today (well, at least I think so!). This is a birthday card for our little neighbor Cayla. She just adores our dogs and I think most of her clothing is dog related in some way! So, I had to created a card with a dog on it for her!
How do you like that Hero Arts cloud background?? This is another stamp I had been eyeing for a while and finally picked up! I stamped it with Distress Inks to start. Then I created the hills with patterned cardstock. I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest of her and the Eat Cake Graphics pup with prisma pencils.
I decided I wanted a rainbow on the card too, so I took some rainbow twine I got on clearance at Michaels and glued it down color by color in the corner. I used the HA sentiment, added a few MS hearts and finished with a twine bow.
I think Cayla will like this card. If not, I like it so much - maybe I'll ask for it back!! (LOL - just kidding!)

This is SO, SO adorable, Maria! I just love this little scene you created. It is so happy and fun, so perfect for a dog loving little girl. Love those patterned paper hills and love the cloud background. Fabulous coloring, and that twine rainbow is just genius!

Maria, this is TOPS! I KNOW she's going to love it. Love the cloud background and the paper piecing - but the rainbow tops it off! SO CUTE!

She will love it!!! I know I do, what a fun and just great card with the dog smiling and the little girl. Then to add that pretty rainbow is wonderful. I have been looking at that stamp since last summer and maybe will have to break down :)
