Lucky's One Layer Friday - A Gift For You!

Are you confused?  You're not at Kathy's Lucky Stamper blog, but Crafty Cre8tions!   Every Friday, Kathy posts a "Lucky's One Layer Friday" card - and since my card today is one layer - I figured I'd play along with her this "Friday"  :)

For you cardmaker's out there, have you ever tried to force a card?  I was 'attempting' to create a card following a color challenge and a sketch challenge.  I really didn't like the colors together, but I was trying to make it work..........it didn't.

I started following the sketch - and messed it up, but tried forcing again.....it didn't work.......so, I abandoned the whole thing...........stamped this PTI Dahlia, masked it, stamped some leaves, created some score lines and colored with my prisma pencils.....it worked!! (at least for me!)

Hoping you all have a great Memorial Day weekend!  I will be doing some mulching today and tomorrow and hopefully resting Sunday and Monday!    Let's all take some time to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Have a great day!

Thanks for your visit!

Well I was confused for minute? I sure had the giggles while I read through your card, you are too sweet for the shout out. Now you know how I ended up doing one layers, I was forcing the layers. Your card is gorgeous, that flower is amazing and how you colored it, just popping against the white. Glad the other idea didnt work so we got to see this beautiful one layer card, thanks for joining Lucky and I this Friday. Have a great weekend. Hope the sun stays out for you.

So funny! I saw this in my google reader and clicked on it thinking I was going to Kathy's blog. You mastered her signature CAS single layer style. The flower is colored beautifully and your score lines add a touch of interest. Beautiful!

I try forcing too many things and usually run out of time and have to post what I created anyway. Glad you persevered as this card is amazing. The bloom just pops off the white card, and the scored lines are a lovely touch.
