Never too old.......

Happy Sunday!!  I've got TWO cards for you today!  Same technique, same sentiment.....different layouts!

I had been wanting to do some emboss resist with Distress Inks and some water splatters, so that's what I'm showing you today!   I've seen some great coloring on watercolor paper by crafters out there just dragging their ink pads across the paper, but I just couldn't get the right touch doing it that way - so I used my daubers to create three areas of color and then took some water and threw splatters of it on the paper to create those drops. (that is AFTER I heat embossed the image with white powder)

A quick story about the card above.......I was making it for my mom and she decided to come over while I was making it. I had a sewing issue and she corrected it for me (not knowing she was working on her OWN card!).  I cut a few border scallops and layered them like my friend Cheryl at She Stamps.   I added some white enamel accent dots too!!!

This second card I sent to my neighbor, using some different Distress colors.  Now that's a BIG BOW!  I had to use a big envelope and thank goodness I didn't have mail the card!
I created three panels with my EK Success border punch and then layered them on the card.  It needed a bit more, so I created some dots with my black enamel accents.  I really liked how they came out!

Well - hope you have a restful Sunday!!!!!!!!

I'm hoping to make my blog visits today........I've been quite busy this past week and this coming week is another busy one.  Our big fundraising event for the Allyson Rioux Memorial Foundation is on Thursday and the softball field re-dedication in her name is on Wednesday. Plus I still have a ton of work to do to prepare for the Celebration Dinner!

I don't think I'll be creating much this week - except for my Mother Of All Blog Hop's project & post for There She Goes which will be May 12th and May 13th!

Thanks for your visit!

Wowza! I love the ink backgrounds you created. The splattering looks so cool. The white embossed sentiments look great. And the layers of scallops are gorgeous on both cards. Thank you for the shout out too.
