I'm back with May's Sketch For You To Try layout and a birthday card I made for my nephew. I don't have many 'boy' themed stamps, so I went with this Stamping Bella image.
First thing I did was heat emboss the image in black powder. Then I colored it in with Distress Inks again. (I haven't purchased the Distress Marker's yet - so I'm still using the 'smoosh' pad method and my aqua brush!). I embossed the card background with a Cuttlebug folder, then hit the raised portions with my silver ink pad for the metal look. I did the same thing on the orange and yellow layers. I used a PTI sentiment and then decided to outline the Nestie shape with silver liquid pearls. I also popped up his birthday hat on dimensionals!
