Not a Card!!!!!!

Happy Wednesday to you!!!!!!!!  Yesterday was a BUSY day!!!!!!  Started at 5:50am to get ready for the gym. Hubby left for work and noticed that a tree had fallen across our street and none of the neighbor's would be able to get out. I called the police dept so they could call the City tree crew to remove it and then texted a few of the neighbor's to give them a head's up. That was all at 6:10 AM!!!!

Went to bootcamp, went to CT Humane to walk dogs, came home, showered, went to lunch w/ hubby and our accountant, went grocery shopping, went home, got Nolie and brought her to the vet, got warning that one of my brand new tires was low on air, went to tire store and waited an hour for them to fix the hole that a nail made, got gas b/c I was running on fumes and finally went home for the FINAL time to make: BLACK BEAN BURGERS!!!!!!!

If you made it through all that.........now you can hear about my black bean burgers!!!!  I came across Iowa Girl Eats blog this week and YUM!!!!!! She's got some GREAT recipes on her blog.  AND......she takes step by step pictures for non-cooks like myself.  The BBB's sounded so yummy (I don't eat meat) so I decided to make them. (I'm the type of person that bookmarks and prints out a TON of recipes and never makes them - so I'm trying to change that!!)

Now warning......I'm not a food blogger!!  And....I took these pictures with my iPhone!  But......here's how they were coming together:
Pre-griddle

Cooking!!

Added some pepper jack cheese

And...........THE FINISHED PRODUCT!!!

And.........look at her finished product!!  Pretty close right?
(Picture above from Iowa Girl Eats)

Cindy, Jill and Frank all said they liked them, although I'm sure Frank wanted to kill me. WAY to many nutritional things in one dinner seating!!! We had these with tomato salad, grilled peppers and corn on the cob.  (I even snuck in flax seed into the burgers!!)

And if THAT wasn't enough........I made a version of these overnight oat's for breakfast from Oh My Veggies:
(Picture above from Oh My Veggies)

I used raspberries instead of mango's and I didn't have coconut (which probably wouldn't be good with the raspberries anyway).  I'll let you know what I think of them tomorrow!!

Hopefully I can take some pictures of the FOUR cards sitting on my desk and get them blogged!

Do you have any really great food blogs that you follow?  Here's another one that I do:  Oh She Glows

Thanks for your visit!

Can't wait for Chef Maria to hit again!

You packed all of that into one day! Wow my hero :) The burgers look yummy, I may have to give those a try, of course the family will have the regular burgers, no way they will try these. Hope you are having a great day and the rain hasn't been too crazy.

Those burgers look fabulous! It's so hard to find a good veggie burger. Well, at least when I make them, they always fall apart. ;(

Thanks for the mention too. Oh, and your dogs are beautiful!

Those look fabulous to me, Maria! I do eat meat, but so prefer vegetarian meals. I hardly ever get to make them, though, with my house of carnivores. :) Thanks for sharing!
