Cindy's Birthday Card

Well, I can finally post Cindy's birthday card!  I gave it to her on Friday since I didn't see her all week!  It's one of the newer Stamping Bella images.

I colored this up about two weeks ago sitting on my patio.  Then I used some My Mind's Eye paper to put the card together.  I didn't have a scalloped die big enough for my polka dot circle, so I made my own by punching out a bunch of 1" circles and then gluing them to the back of the polka dots.

I wanted to add some sewing to the card - so I used a little glue to hold down my sentiment flag and then crossed my fingers and sewed back and forth 2x.

These gals are colored with my prisma pencils and the gal in pink has a nice glittery black edging to her skirt, that the camera isn't picking up.  The funny thing is neither of these girls look like Cindy nor I!  But, I'm sure she'll get the gist of my card :)

Hope you have a restful Sunday!

Thanks for your visit!

Great minds think alike cause I just got that stamp and made it up for one of my best friends too! What a great idea to use the circles for the scalloped edge, I never thought of that but that would work so well! Lovely card and I hope Cindy liked it too.

Lucky Cindy to get this oh so beautiful card... love the sweetly colored image and the backing paper is gorgeous. Also the idea of using a round punch to make that scalloped edge is so unusual and what hard work that must have been.

I love your card Maria! This is such a great image. You colored it beautifully. I love how you improvised and made your own scalloped circle.
