Cards for Friends

As part of a Christmas gift, I made a few cards for two of my co-volunteers at the CT Humane Society. I couldn't post these earlier as Gisela gets the blog feed - so since I have now given the gifts away - I can finally post some of these cards!!!

I made about eight cards in total, so I'll post them all in the next few days.

First off is a card using ribbon that I've been dying to use for a looooong time. Just never had the perfect color combo until this card!

I used PTI stamps from the Borders & Corner set, Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder and a Sizzix die cut with some bling!

Up next is a House Mouse stamp that I was very excited to use also! These types of cards take me a while to color up, but I love how they come out! I used a watercolor technique on them and was really happy with the end result. I believe the finished product looks a lot better in person. The sentiment is from PTI's Button Bits set.

This was the last card that I made out of the eight and I was not happy with my original birthday creation, so I had to make another quick one because I was running out of time to give these away!!! So, I used the Cuttlebug birthday embossing folder and a Studio G cake stamp. Mounted them on circle and scallop punches and I made a quick birthday card!!!

Thanks for taking a look today! Tomorrow I'll post some more of the cards I made for this gift collection!!!

What nice cards. I really like the soft colors of the HM card and the cute little piece of cake with the bold orange background.
