Birthday Owls

Wow - this might be the quickest card I've ever made!  A couple of months ago, when Michaels was having a sale on ribbon, I picked up some ribbon with animals on it. I bought owls, monkeys and sheep - all to match stamps I own.  So, when thinking of a card to make for my 8 year old nephew.....I looked to the owls.
First I rounded the corners of my card base. Then I used PTI's wood impression plate.  Glued the ribbon down and used a sentiment from PTI's Wise Owl set.  I finished it off with some faux stitching.  Feels very much like a Kristen Werner card to me!

Thanks for stopping by!

I love the simplicity of this card! It is perfect for a boy. The wood embossing is perfect with the owls. (I need to get that folder!)

Have a great weekend!

It may have been a quick card but I really, really, like it! That ribbon is just too cute and especially against that wood grain look.
