Happy Birthday Lili

My friend Gisela asked me to make a birthday card for her friend Lili.  She sent me a picture of another card I had made which she liked and asked for something similar.  So, I stayed along the same lines, but jazzed it up a bit.
I grabbed my DCWV Citrus pack which has some glitter on it and used it as the base.  For the green layer, I first used one of my Sizzix die cuts to cut out a portion on the right hand side and then cut another one out of cardstock and hand trimmed it so the base  paper would pop out from behind. I embossed the green layer with a cuttlebug swirl folder.

I used a PTI sentiment and stamped out her name using a Recollections letter set.  Lastly, I used some fun ribbon.

As always, I appreciate being asked to make cards for people - so Thanks Gisela!!!!!

Have a great Saturday!!!!

Thanks for your visit!

Beautiful colors together - and a beautiful card! Really like how you used the die cut and of course, the embossing.

This is fab, simply fab. So clean and simple and yet so very attractive. Love the way you die cut the base and then trimmed the white nestie.

Love these colors together and how you cut out the area for the sentiment!

Awesome! Such bright and happy colors and paper! My DD loves this combo, so this really makes me smile. Love how you nested the sentiment label. Fabulous ribbon treatment, too.
