Note Card Gift Set

TGIF!!!!!!!  Wow - I can't believe how fast this week FLEW by!!!!!!!! Oh My!  And yet...I still haven't done ANY Christmas shopping!!!!!!  Yikes!

But, I did MAKE a Christmas gift!  I made this note card set for our cleaning woman.  She's been with us for a while now and is such a nice lady.  She always compliments me on my work and last year even came to the craft fair.  So, I decided to make her a set of cards.

I'll show them all first and then talk about them a bit!

I stamped and embossed these Impress flowers in white on watercolor paper.  Then I used two different colors of Distress Inks to color them in.  For my mat on each flower, I took a piece of cardstock and swiped the darker ink of each color all over the edges, so they'd match.  I did the same thing on the sentiment panel, but swiped the lighter color of each ink and used the darker color for the sentiment.

Here's all of them together:

And here they are bundled in the packaging:

I hope you're way ahead of me in the shopping department!!!!!!!!   Have a wonderful day!!

Thanks for your visit!

I am not much more ahead of you, I'm afraid. Just moving at the speed of molasses this year, it seems. The days are going by at super speed.....and I'm not. We'll get there somehow though, right? ;)
I really love your notecard set, Maria. What a wonderful gift. That flower is beautiful, and I really love how you changed out the colors and sentiments. Clever use of the inks to create your matching papers, too. Your cleaning lady is going to be so happy to get these.

Gorgeous!!!!! These are just beautiful and what an amazing, special gift. She will really love them and probably use the for those special people. OK, I could go on about this all day, but I think there is a limit on characters. Hope you have a great weekend, I know it has been warm and I saw a winter forecast that from Dallas to Maine the temps are supposed to be above average. :)

Hi Maria,

What a gem you are - to honour your lovely cleaning lady who is so appreciative of your work (which deserves nothing but that because it is truly wonderful).

And each card is more beautiful than the other. ALL so pretty!

This is such a thoughtful and beautiful gift! I love the colors and the flower stamp is gorgeous.

I am DONE, DONE, DONE with Christmas shopping! Woo hoo! I am usually running around at the last minute because I have no idea what to get any one. This year the gifts for the kids came from amazon.com and the gifts for the grown up mostly came from etsy.com. I did not step foot into a mall (which helps maintain the Christmas spirit) and made only a trip to Target and Kohls. I hope this doesn't seem like gloating but I am proud of myself this year. :)

These are all so pretty - and what a great gift idea! Know she's going to love these. I really like the pink and blue - maybe it's because I like those colors! Duh!
Better get on that shopping trip soon as Christmas is right around the corner!

Wow, gorgeous!! You make me want to get this stamp out and then magically become as distress-ink-awesome as you. :) Love the tip about coloring your own paper to match!
