Happy Bird-day

It's so nice to do Clean and Simple cards after doing cards that have a lotta layers, right? My cousin's "bird-day" is coming up and he and his wife are bird-lovers, so I wanted to make him a bird-card! I reached for my Darcie's Stamp and stamped out in the body in Memento Rich Cocoa and the leaves in VersaMagic Tea Leaves, then cut them out. I created the clouds on the base of my card using a cloud template I hand cut and swiped it with some VersaMagic blue chalk ink.

The stamp set didn't come with a "Happy Bird Day" sentiment, so I had to cut up a few sentiments to make it work. Since this card is for a "guy" I wanted to keep it pretty low key. I added a google eye for a bit of whimsy though.

For the inside, I used another Distress Ink background I made with Cindy the other day and stamped a few bird images from a Basic Grey freebie set I received and finished it off with a Darcie Stamp sentiment.
I think he'll like the card and Julie - if you're checking in on the blog - keep your mouth shut!! Ha Ha
