CAS95 - Friendship is the sweetest flower

Wow - I'm ashamed to admit how LONG this card took me to make! WHY? I think my mojo is off a little.
I followed the sketch for Clean & Simple # 95, although I turned the sketch on its side.  I knew I wanted to try a masking technique for the background, like Theresa Momber does HERE. I thought about the PTI watering can watering the flowers, but it was facing the wrong way, so I went with a large flower on the left.  It just took me way to long to come up with this card. (not quite Simple for me this time).

I used my "grass" scissors to cut two layers of grass. I even tried two different ribbon techniques and when both of those failed, I went with a boring old knot!  I like how the end product came out, but it was a frustrating card. Ugh - hate when that happens!

Anyway, I'll stop complaining now! Have a great day!

I think it turned out fabulous! You could never tell you struggled with it if you didn't tell us.

Sorry I am behind with my blog commenting. I have to make lunch every morning for my daughter before she leaves for day camp and it has messed with my blog commenting time. :)

I like your almost one layer version of the sketch. Your masked/sponged sky looks great and your grass is so fun.

Very pretty, Maria! I like that you turned the sketch on its side and created a scene. What a fun Summer card!!
