So, here are a bunch of cards I made with the scraps from the Foof-a-La Summer set:
For the first two cards added a rub-on in the left hand corner and a PTI dotted circle.
Then I punched a hole and put the PTI sentiment on the inside of the card.
Simple enough - I took two of the 'extra' die cuts they gave with the set - layered them
and added a Hero Arts sentiment.
Again, using a circle die cut label, I added a scallop circle background and some ribbon.
I also used my Cuttlebug swiss dots and a Studio G sentiment.
Ahh, this might be my favorite. The set had one piece of ribbon and I HAD to use it. It wasn't long enough to go all the way around, so I decided to try the staple/ribbon technique. I'm really happy with the look.
Then I adhered a bunch of the labels and a Hero Arts sentiment.
Lastly, using a few more rub ons, I used a Hero Arts sentiment and curled it so it followed the curl of the paisly. I finished off that layer with a EK Success border punch.
I love using up my scraps!! I will put all these cards aside for Operation Write Home because I've got to start getting a box ready to send off. I'm contemplating hosting a cardmaking party in September too! Gotta get something in the works if I am!! On Friday - my husband and I helped our neighbor (who runs Soldier Socks) fill the UHaul truck - Holy Boxes Batman! It took us an hour to get the truck loaded. Here's a quick picture I took of Chris after it was all loaded.
So, what's a person to do after loading an entire UHAUL worth of items for our soldiers???
Eat a Nutella/banana/pear pizza..........OH MY...............D-Lish!
Thanks for droppin' in!

Wow I love all of your scrap cards! I especially love the one with the tags - very cool design!
Wow, you have been busy!!! I love that paper and your design on the first two cards is definitely going into my idea file! I like how you curled the sentiment on the last one, and you definitely nailed that stapled ribbon treatment!
Hooray for filling up a truck with all those socks!!!
I must say.....I've NEVER seen nor heard of that kind of pizza!!!!!! Is it really good?
All your cards are so pretty.....what a fabulous way to use all those scraps. Wonderful job.
Oh, I have to tell you....I saw an add in the paper today for composition books - 5 for #1.00!!!! It was at Wal-Greens - if yall have that up there!

I'm literally going crazy looking at these cards! I have that same paper and have been staring at it for months. There are GORGEOUS! I always tend to feel like I have to have a stamped image, but these cards show me that you can die cut and manipulate your DP to create the same effect. Thanks for the inspiration!
