First up is a basic basic basic page, but it did take quite a bit of time. This is a picture from our Friendraiser three weeks ago. Since it was for Soldier Socks - we had a USA theme - so I dressed my girls up in flag bandannas. They looked so cute that I took a picture of them. From left to right is: Lily Pumpkin Pie, Nolie Canoli and Layla (no 'official' middle name yet)!!
For the party, I had bought 300 mini USA flags from Target. I thought we'd be giving them out to each party guest and using some with the decor - but - they didn't work with the gift, so I had A LOT unused.
I decided to use some of those flags as part of this page. Thankfully, my Sizzix dies cut material - so I used the star die and the Roundabout Sizzlits alphabet.
None of my red or blue cardstock matched the red and blue in the flag, so I had to go with a white background. It works OK except around the words.
So, after I adhered all the letters on - I ended up lightly sponging around each letter with red chalk ink just to help the letters pop off a bit more.
I'm so glad we finally got some pictures printed up. Most of the time the pictures just find a home in my computer.
Thanks for stoppin' in today!

Great page! I love it, so if this one is basic, I really can't wait to see what you have coming up next. Love the dogs!
AW! I love patriotic doggies!!! (Corgis do not the right geometry for bandannas-thick necks and short legs!) Don't ya hate it when you can't find a match? I think it looks great on the white, though, even the letters! Have I mentioned yet how impressed I've been with every detail of your Friendraiser?
SOOOO cute! Looks great! Love the puppies too!
The girls all look so stylish. Great page. I have such a hard time scrapbooking.
I love how you arranged the title so the initials were from the star portion of the flag and the other letters were from the stripes - making it look a lot like the flag! Good thinking to use those leftover mini flags.
FANTASTIC!!!!!!! And what a darling picture.
