A Jumbo Thank You

When I saw THIS card by Lisa Spangler on the Hero Arts blog...I knew I wanted to try it myself.  I looked through my collection of stamps and thought this elephant would do the job!
The elephant and sentiment is a Studio G set.  The first thing I did was stamp an elephant on a regular piece of cardstock to see what size circle punch I would use on the card front. I think I went with 1 3/8".  I wanted to make sure her head filled up the cut-out.   Then I punch out the circle on the front of the card about where I thought she would fit.  I added a PTI circle stamp around my circle punch, some bling and ribbon.

Then I cut my interior layer of the card (4 x 5 1/4) and adhered it down. I shut the card front again and lightly traced a pencil line on the inside of the circle. That way I could see exactly where her head had to be stamped so it would peek out of the circle (are you with me?).  Once I stamped her and the ink was dry I erased the circle line.

I colored her in with a grey prisma pencil. Added some PTI grass and stamped the sentiment.  Her flower has some glitter and black enamel accents.

This was a fun card to make. I will try to use this style again in the future!  Make sure to click on the link at the top to see Lisa's great card!!!

Thanks for your visit!
