I came upon
Lucy Abrams' blog somehow and I'm so happy I did!! Last week she started a Sketch per day challenge and although I joined in late....her sketches are a lot of fun, so I spent some time on Friday making some cards using her sketches.
Here's my card for
Sketch #1:
So, it's 'almost' the same as the sketch! I cut hearts from my Sizzix die and four wouldn't fit across. I wanted to stamp "LOVE" in each heart, so, since only three fit "LUV" had to do! The cardstock and paper are from PTI and the small letters are a Studio G set and the "U" is actually a foam stamp. These cards will also be sent to
Operation Write Home!

I also took these photos Saturday on my morning walk with my dogs down my street. It was just GORGEOUS out!! The sky was a beautiful pink!
You can see the sun just hitting the top of the pine tree in the center of the picture behind our house.

LUV your card, I need to try that since other than CAS cards, I struggle with "sketch" challenges have a brain block on them. The pictures are so pretty, that is what I do remember after storms up there, it was always a winter wonderland. Well, we have that today, since it snowed all day yesterday, just 4" but for Texas that is one major storm, especially since they don't have sanding trucks here, you just stay at home until it melts. They have all the highways shut down this AM.

Your "snow" photos are BEAUTIFUL!!!! Love the one with the pink sky! Looks like a winter wonderland! So pretty. But then, of course, I don't have to shovel it either - or try to drive in it! LOL! Us South Texans would NOT know how to drive in snow!

Happy new year... thanks for posting those picture post card pictures - they are breathtakingly beautiful. And thanks for reminding that we should be grateful for the beauty around us. Sometimes we forget that in the clutter of daily living.
Love the heart card you have created... and love the way you wrote LUV to fit it in. My 11 year old daughter thinks it is cool to use slang spellings so she will certainly be impressed.
And the photos of your dogs are so wonderful.
