For my teacher........

I'm back with the apple card I made last week using Distress Inks.  I can't wait to have some yummy apple crisp this fall.  Anyone have any good recipes?

Kids will begin going back to school soon, which means TRAFFIC in my neighborhood!!  UGH.

Anyways - I took some American Crafts paper and one little strip of PTI for my background.  Popped up the apple and added a PTI sentiment.  I'm pretty please with the result!

So, this is the last "Layla" card I'll post........but I received it from my bff's Cindy and Jill and you wanna talk about bawling..........

First is the beautiful card they had made at Shutterfly with her picture on it.
Inside was another picture of her and my favorite poem.

Then there was this:

Who knew my girl Layla was smart enough to give Aunt Jill and Aunt Cindy a letter like that?  It was really touching.  I love my friends!

Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!!!

Thanks for your visit!

Oh gosh Maria...I'm starting to cry again now. That poem is just awesome and so is the front of the card. Words really can't tell you what I'm feeling right now.

Your back to school card is adorable and now you must share how you colored that with the distressed ink.

Oh, Maria! I'm all choked up about the beautiful card you received. What a special, heartfelt gesture that was. Love the sweet letter. :)
And love your apple card, too. The simple design is so eye catching. The stripes make the design look so tall and sleek. And wow on that coloring.

What a great apple card, love how you did the papers and colored that great apple, can't wait for apple crisp, my mom made it all the time.

You have some truly wonderful friends, their card is a treasure to keep, it sure brought tears to my eyes reading it. Keep that one close at hand. Have a great weekend.
