MIM#31 + Lily Pad Resist - Happy Anniversary!

So, yesterday was my parent's 49th Wedding Anniversary!  Yah to them!  I worked on this card on Tuesday and played along with the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #31 Challenge - which was to create a background with 'non-background' stamps.  I used the little hearts from the Mailbox Greetings set for my background.

I also played along with the Lily Pad Cards Emboss Resist challenge.

I embossed this Outlines stamp twice cutting out the heart on the second one and popping it up.  Then I used four distress inks to color them in.  I added white enamel accents for the dots and stickles for the glitter on the flowers on the heart. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.  Inside says "A Very Happy Anniversary"

Hope you have a great Friday!!!

Thanks for your visit!

This is gorgeous, love the hearts for the background and then that main heart is beautiful with the touch of sparkle. Love this. Hope Buddy and family are doing well, just love the new pics, it seems like Lily is the leader in this group :) Have a wonderful weekend.

What a beautiful anniversary card for your parents! 49 years is just amazing! My parents celebrated their 50th last December. I'm so in awe of that. :)
Love the sunny color palette you used and love all your stamping. those tiny hearts make a wonderful background, and I just adore the bold heart image. Love your coloring and little detail and love how you did the sentiment. SO awesome!

Congrats to your parents for the 49th wedding anniversary.

This card is brilliant, simply brilliant. Love the sunny colours and the fact that you created a background with a non-background stamp.
How did you get those shades in the heart? Love them.

PS: How is Buddy doing?
