Christmas Goodies......

I'm finally getting around to posting the two Christmas gifts I had at everyone's table setting this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!   Last year I made ornaments (HERE) but this year I wanted to do something a bit different.

So.......since I now own a sewing machine.........I thought I'd take a crack at sewing something!   While scrolling through Tip Junkie, I saw this post for fleece scarves with minimal sewing (oh yah!).  Cindy and I had so much fleece left over from our Hershey Snowmen, that I knew fleece was the way to go!  The only bad thing, is I didn't have very LONG pieces of fleece, so the scarves are a bit shorter than I would of liked.

Here are some shots!

And here are the models:
Kasha & Leslie
 Julie & Jill
 Mom and Aunt Barbara

I even made one for my cousin Carl because he LOVED this pattern
when I made him his chocolate snowmen
Here's Aunt Barbara modeling her scarf and my BAD attempt at a fleece hat!!

For the men, I made Hand Warmers, thanks to Cheryl at She Stamps. She sent me a beautiful set of heart-shaped hand warmers and after thinking about what to do for the guys, I thought square hand warmers would work, matched up with the Hershey Snowmen.

I followed THIS tutorial and here are the results:

I forgot to take a picture of how I packaged the scarves...but on both gift packages....I added a little tag that said:

"Remember......it's the 'thought' that counts" !!!

But, everyone seemed to like them and my father-in-law uses his hand warmers every day!!!

Thanks for your visit!

These are all great gifts! You are so thoughtful taking the time to sew little gifts for every one. I am glad the hand warmer idea worked out. I am thinking about making some square ones too since I have a whole jar of rice still sitting in my craft room.
