More Memory Box.....

So, I'm not quite sure WHY I haven't purchased a pack of Memory Box papers, but I think after making a few cards from the loose papers I received in a giveaway at my LSS store...I will definitely be buying some.  They are just GORGEOUS!!!

Here are three cards I made using their papers, their notecards and one of their vintage record sheet stamps.

Cards are pretty self explanatory - but this first one is a card I sent to Cheryl at She Stamps while she's recovering from foot surgery.

The bird and butterfly stamps are from 7 Gypsies.

Thanks for popping in today!! Hope you have a great Tuesday!!!!  I'm off to bootcamp at 6:30am!

Thanks for your visit!

Bird Notecards

My cousin Julie asked me to make her 12 notecards with birds on them.  So in December, I had been making a few at a time.  I wanted each one to be different, but also as CAS as I could make them.  Here are the first three.

On this third card - the stamp is a really long one. I stamped it two times and then punched my circles from different parts of the long stamp. I'm really happy how it came out!

Thanks for popping in! More tomorrow!

Mother's Day 2

Here is the second Mother's Day card I was asked to make - again using Distress Inks and watercolor background. This time I used blues and greens to create the same background as yesterday.
I used a 7 Gypsies stamp (the green one) and embossed it. I really don't know what to call that stamp - but it's the first time I inked it up! I added PTI sentiment on the inside and then stamped a cut out a Studio G bouquet stamp and popped that up above the ribbon.

I decided to use a little bling in the upper corner to make it a little more flashy!

Hope you are having a nice Sunday! Thanks for peeking in today :)

CAS52 - Hey there, chickadee

Another day of Operation Write Home cards to send over to our soldiers serving our country. I am so happy with the amount of cards I've been able to make this week because I've been feeling neglectful and guilty!!!

This Clean and Simple layout is from Splitcoast Stamper's CAS52 challenge. I started off my color palette with the ribbon I bought last year. I chose a 7 Gypsies bird stamp because I felt I could stamp it in a few different colors and it would look nice. Lastly, I used a Papertrey Ink sentiment from the Everyday Button Bits collection.
Thanks for taking a look today! Hope you're having a great week!!

Baby Card

Our friend Gisela asked for a baby card welcoming "Salma" into the world and requested purple with butterflies. I scrolled around some the SCS Gallery to get a little inspiration and came upon THIS card by Theresa Momber. I just thought it was gorgeous and I loved her layers of stamps so I wanted to recreate something similar.

This is what I came up with!
I used the cattail and small butterfly stamps from Papertrey Inks "With Sympathy" set and the large butterfly comes from 7 Gypsies Notting Hill set. I used Dusty Concord distress ink for the main panel and sponged all around. I added the scrolls with Memento Grape Jelly. I stamped the small butterflies with Memento Lavender so they stayed in the background a little more.

The large butterfly was stamped with Grape Jelly and colored in with prisma pencils and cut out. I colored in the body with a black jelly embossing pen and also used the clear jelly embossing pen on the cattails so they had a little interest.

Lastly, I stamped out her name with a Recollections letter set in Grape Jelly

Above is a close-up of the butterfly. It's raised up just a little because this card is being mailed to Switzerland - so Gisela wanted a flat card.

Finally - below is the inside of the card. I mimicked the scrolls from the outside of the card on the inside and added a PTI butterfly on the inside.

Thanks for taking a peek today! I was away on vacation last week - so I'm looking forward to crafting this week!
