Sending Hugs

Happy Friday!!!!!!!!  I've had a couple of friends needing some hugs and encouragement lately - so I colored up this Penny Black image with my prisma pencils and sent it off to one of them this week.

I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder in the background and my Lawn Fawn banner die cut and sentiment. I actually forgot I had the banner outline stamp so it looks a little bland, but I did ink the edges so it pops out a bit!

Have a great weekend!!!!!!

Father's Day 2

Happy Monday! Hope you were able to celebrate Father's Day with your loved ones!  Here's the card we gave my father-in-law:

This is a Stamping Bella image colored with Prisma pencils.  I used my Lil Inker Polaroid die and a Hero Arts/Basic Grey background stamp.  I popped his crown up too and added some washi tape & bling!

Hope you have a great start to your week!

The first one plays along with the Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #98:

Bellarific Friday - Many Wishes

It's been months since I've played along with the Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday challenges - but since I colored up a few images last week - I decided to jump in!

It's a pretty basic card - not many frills.  Ms. Pixie is colored with my Prisma pencils and then I added a There She Goes butterfly because she was lonely up there!

Well - hope you have a terrific Friday and a great weekend!!!

Thanks for your visit!

SSSC186: You are loved

More fun playing with the images I colored on Sunday.  These are Penny Black flowers that I colored with my Prisma pencils and popped up on the card.

I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge#186 for the layout.  And, here's the sketch if you want to play along!

Have a great day!!

Pixie Birthday

So, I'm really loving this card!  This is a Stamping Bella pixie image and she's just too cute standing among all those flowers!

I (once again) tried the 'out of the box' technique and it took me (again) way to long to do - even though I (again) followed a tutorial.  Why am I so dumb when it comes to this technique? LOL.

But - in the end - I really like it!  Along with that gorgeous large HA sentiment!

Have a great Wednesday!

Cas(e)#31 - Thanks!

Well, there's been a lot of coloring lately!  Sunday was just gorgeous here in CT and I spent about 3 hours coloring on my patio.  Then Sunday night I was able to put a couple of cards together.  Here's a card following the CAS(E) This Sketch! #31 layout:

The only bad thing........is that it was pouring rain on Monday - so taking a nice picture was a bit tough.  But - these Penny Black flowers are still quite cheerful!  I colored them up with my Prisma pencils and then painstakingly cut them out.

Here's the sketch if you want to play!
Have a great day!!!!!!!

Life is nothing without friendship!

Hello again!!  Thanks for coming to visit today!   Here's a card I made on Thursday and will enter in two challenges:  CAS(E) This Sketch! #16 and The Play Date Cafe #170:

I grabbed my MME papers which were perfect for the color challenge.  I laid out my papers but wasn't sure what I was going to use for my main image.  I looked through my rarely used Sizzlets and found the vase.  So I decided to color up a There She Goes buttercup to put in it.  I ran the vase through a Cuttlebug embossing folder for dimension.

Here are the challenges:

OK! Have a great day!!!!!!!!

Here's a card I'll submit for the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge#186:

I colored Miss Tilda up last week and she found herself on this card yesterday.  I used MME papers and a MFT sentiment.

STB#6 - Masculine Birthday

It's another card for Seize the Birthday and it's 'masculine' week.  Here's an image I colored up watching the Grammys and put the card together during the week.

I didn't go too crazy on the card but used MME paper and a Stamping Bella image.  I wanted my little boy to have red hair - so I gave that a whirl coloring it up!

Here's the sketch if you want to play along!!!

STB#5

Yah! I was able to make a card for the Seize the Birthday challenge#5 - feminine card.  This will also work for Stamping Bella's Bellarific Friday of "anything goes":

Here's little Millie with her balloon!  She's colored with Prisma pencils and I popped up her balloon extending it from the original stamp.  For the background - I embossed Hero Arts and Impression Obsession stamps with white powder.

Here's the sketch - but you've got to submit by 12 noon today!

RS47 - Thanks

Well, I am a few weeks late for this Retro Sketches challenge, but I really liked the layout - so I kept it 'unread' in my Reader until I could make a card using the sketch.

This came together pretty quickly except for creating the masks so I could add the leaves.  Colored up with my Prisma pencils and added a Hero Arts sentiment.

I may make a few more cards using this layout! I love it!

Have a great day!!!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Saturday to you!!!!!!  Hope you had a great week!  I'm finally over my sickness - so I'm thrilled.  I have to say - I was a lucky girl this past week.  Per my hubby's orders to "take it easy" - I didn't set an alarm for 4 out of the 5 days!  Reality will be brutal on Monday......but I enjoyed it while I could!

Here's a card I made two weeks ago and is finally making its appearance on the blog:
This is a Penny Black image colored up with my prisma pencils.  I've mentioned my love of poppies right?  I used a Nestie die cut and then masked the inside and colored up the outer scallops for some definition.

Well - I hope you have a great day!!!!

Thanks for your visit!

STB#2 - Masculine Birthday

It's the second week of the Seize the Birthday challenge. This week is to make a masculine birthday card using the same sketch as last week.

Here's my card:

I started off by stamping and coloring this Stamping Bella image with my prisma pencils.  Then I masked the image and stamped a Penny Black brick background over it and colored that with Distress Inks.  I added a little more red prisma pencil to the bricks then some white highlights.  I stamped a PTI birthday sentiment on the brick.  I thought it would of been a bit more bold - but oh well!

I used Tim Holtz and Cuttlebug embossing folders and then sanded them a bit.  Some twine and a button and this masculine card is done!

Here's the sketch if you want to play:

Sent with Love

Just a quick post today of a Penny Black stamp on Kraft colored with my Prisma pencils:

I can never get a true picture of this cardstock! It always edits to florescent! Yikes!  And you can't even see the Hero Arts plaid background!  But it definitely has great cheerful colors in the dead of winter!

Thanks for your visit!

TSOT#99 - Hope your day is yummy!

Happy Saturday to you all!!!!!! Hope you made it through another short week! ;)

I've been lucky enough to spend a bunch of time in my craft room. Plus it's been FREEEEEEZING here in CT - so I'm happy to be inside!   Today is a birthday card following the Try Stamping On Tuesday Challenge #99:

I used my Lil Inker Designs Polaroid die cut and a Stamping Bella image colored with my Prisma pencils. I also used a Darcie's sentiment.  This is some cheerful paper huh??

Here's the sketch:

Hope you have a great day!

Thinking of You

My friend lost her dad just before Christmas - so I created this sympathy card for her.

Have I mentioned that I'm having SO MUCH FUN coloring pencil over pencil on kraft cardstock? (I think so, right?)
And yes..........I used this Hero Arts stamp again (because it is just so PRETTY!)

I colored this up while watching The Sound of Music a few days before Christmas.  It definitely put me in a good mood while making a 'sympathy' card.   I have to say - I did pat myself on the back after finishing it. I just LOVE IT!!!  I do hope my friend can feel the love I put into the card too!

TSOT#97 - Merry Everything

Hi Bloggy Friends!

Christmas is coming up fast!!!!!!  I'm trying to get a few more things done!  What I did get done is this Christmas card using Penny Black's Mimi and I used the Try Stamping on Tuesday Sketch# 97:

I paper pieced her hat, jacket and scarf and used my Prisma pencils for the rest.  Once I put the card together, I used my white Acrylic Accents to fill in all the snow flakes.

Here's the sketch if you want to play:

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamps Challenge!

Last night, I had my neighborhood gals over to make glitter ornaments. (I'm writing this up on Wednesday before they get here) - so I can just imagine what my craft room looks like today!!!

I'll post a few pictures on Friday!
