She's Expecting

I'm NOT expecting.................but 'She's Expecting"!!!!!!!!!  I didn't want anyone to get too excited!!  I needed a card for a baby shower and I was running out of time last week - so I grabbed my baby themed paper and a Studio G stamp and was able to put this card together.

Nothing too fancy but I did color in my clear gems with a purple Sharpie to get the color I needed!!

Super quick post today!!!!  Have a great day :)

Mojo 233 & HSS 110- Baby!

Happy Sunday!  I'm getting this card in just under the wire for Mojo Monday #233 sketch as well as playing along with the Hand Stamp Sentiments "Watercolor" Challenge#110.   I have to go to a baby shower next week for the parents who are expecting a girl.

I used my Stamping Bella baby stamp and water colored with Distress Inks.

Here's the Mojo Monday Sketch:

Hope you have a great Sunday!!!

It's a Baby Shower!!!

This post is way overdue, but I needed to find the time to upload everything!!  Last month, a few neighborhood ladies threw another neighbor, Christine, a Baby Shower.  She's due ANY DAY!!

I offered to make the invitations for the shower and then we made some shower gifts and tags for the event.   So sit back......there's a lot to show!!

Here's the outside of the invitation - kept pretty simple as I had to make 30 of them.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing die, Studio G onside stamp and PTI sentiment.  Christine is having a boy - so all is blue!
Inside I wrote up the details in Word and then layered it (easy!)

Here's the wonderful diaper cake Dolores, who hosted, made for the baby

And here's the terrific poem she created and had me craft up

Dolores and I covered some Hersey bars for shower gifts for the attendees

And this was a fun idea one of the ladies had. We each had to bring a baby boy outfit.  (Christine has two girls already) and we hung the outfits on a clothesline inside.  We also all contributed and got her a bunch of toys geared for boys (you can see them under the line)

This is not a great picture - but look at Christine's face (gal with purse). I'd say she was surprised!!

Here's a yummy cake Marion made

Mama-to-be Christine:

And here's a picture of the set of Thank You cards I gave Christine at the shower too:

Finally, here's a custom made Onsie - for dad-to-be Chris, who is running for Congress!

It was a fun shower and Christine had a really great time.  We're looking forward for Baby Boy to get into this world!!!

Happy Baby Shower

I was asked to make a Baby Shower card for one of the gals at the CT Humane Society where I volunteer. She's going to a shower this weekend and asked if I could help her out (how sweet). So, immediately I thought of PTI's Scattered Showers set. Since the parents don't know what sex the baby is, I went with the traditional pink and blue colors.
I stamped out the umbrellas on the pattered paper but had to stamp them again on cardstock, since the patterned paper was too flimsy to pop them up. I added some embossed raindrops, PTI buttons and sentiment.

On the inside, I repeated the pink and blue stripes down the side and embossed two Studio G "onesies".

Thanks for stopping in today! Hope you have a great Wednesday!

Baby Shower Gifts

Our friend Gisela hired Cindy and I to make Baby Shower gifts for the shower she is throwing this weekend for her friend Sharon. Gisela bought some of our nugget tins at one of our craft fairs and thought they would make nice gifts for the people who attended the shower.

She picked out the Studio G "Bunny" stamp and wanted that to be the main focus. We used the "Baby Boy" pack from Stemma (Gisela said the baby will be a boy!). We wrapped each of the nuggets in the paper and used the coordinating paper for the outter wrapping.
The bunny is colored in with Marvy Markers and hightlighted with Martha Stewart glitter on the bunny's heart. The tag is computer generated.

Cindy and I are both very pleased with how these came out! We hope Gisela and her guests are happy with them as well! Thanks for visiting!!
