STB#7 - Happy Birthday

I'll admit - I'm not sure how I feel about this card.  I don't really love how my butterfly goes with the patterned paper -but I'm posting it anyways!

CAS27 - Thanks

This week's challenge on the CASology blog is "Blue".   This is what I came up with:

I was a lucky winner on  Karen's The Bald Dragonfly blog and one of the items is this Crafts Meow Lovely Ovals stamp set.  I embossed it in white and then used my Nestie oval to cut out the center.  It fit perfectly!

I colored it in with Peacock Feathers Distress Inks and after embossing a Hero Arts sentiment - I flicked water droplets on it.  I embossed the background with a PTI impression plate and then threaded three buttons through twine and glued them down on the site.

Not sure what went on with the picture - but nothing seems to match!  It definitely all blends in real life!
