Wine Tags

My sweet hubby 'hired' me to make him wine bottle tags to give to some of the executives at the new office space he just finished.  They'll be moving in shortly so we went with the "New Nest" theme.
These were a lot of fun to make. I tried a new technique too!  Can you see the embossed clouds?  Well, I cut nine Sizzix cloud dies out and glued three together.  I placed them down on my cutting mat where I wanted them on the tag and then ran them through my big shot and used the die cuts as embossing folders.  I was VERY pleased with the results and now I'll definitely look at my dies a little differently going forward.

I also used my new Impression Obsession branch die and gave the leaves a fall theme.  The bird is from Darcies with the top wing popped up.  You can't see it, but my hubby's business card is hanging from the string where the bottleneck will go.

I made 9 in total, but here are 5 of them.

I'm having a giveaway!  Leave a comment on THIS POST to enter.

Mama's Baba & Papa's Baba.......

Does that title have you thinking??  Well, I won't keep it a mystery!  Remember the post two weeks ago about the Baby Shower?  Well.....Cody Davidson has entered this world healthy and happy!  I know Mama was jonesing for a little bit of wine after her 9 month sabbatical - so what's a friend and neighbor do?  Get her one of her favorite wines (and of course - one for the proud papa too!)

You know me...I just couldn't bring the wine over in a brown bag.........so here's what I came up with.  "Mama's Baba" and "Papa's Baba"

I used the same papers from her shower invites and inked up the Skipping Stones wine glasses.  Added a few touches her and there.........and mama and papa have their "baba's" right along with Baby Cody!

Have a great day!!!!

Birthday Wine Tag

This is just a quick project I made last week for my dad's birthday. We've run out of ideas for what he 'needs' for his birthday - so we gave him a really nice bottle of wine - something he'd 'enjoy'.  I made this wine tag using a Fiskars set I bought about 2 months ago.
I did use some glossy stuff on the wine, but it doesn't show up on the picture.  This slipped over the head of the bottle and really is a nice way to present a bottle of wine!
Thanks for stopping by!

Craft Fair Products - Wine Tags

Well, it's Halloween night and we don't get many trick-or-treaters here at our house....and my internet connection is finally corrected...so here I am updating the blog :)
I made these wine gift tags for our upcoming craft fair. Instead of using a gift bag for the wine, these tags can be slipped over the bottle for a hostess gift.

I used the Inkadinkado holiday clear stamps and Inky Antics for these wine tags. I think they are a great option instead of a foil wine bag. What do you think?? Thanks for visiting!

Wine Tags

Well, two of my neighbors have done very nice things and I made the tags below to show our appreciation!!

Jeanne helped me out with Tango (our foster doggy) by coming over and feeding him when I've been busy at softball games and yesterday while we were out watching the Yankee's get creamed by the Indians. It doesn't seem like a lot, but when you're trying to fatten a doggy up, they need constant feedings, so by her coming over, it has REALLY helped us out! For that...we gave her a bottle of wine and I made the Thank You tag to go on the bottle. The image is from Inky Antics colored with prisma pencils and gamsol. I added some bling, ribbon and crystal effects on the wine glass.
Here's a view a little closer.
Chris, my other neighbor, has done something incredible! You can read about it here - but the short version is - he arranged for a few banks and loan officers to help our community's homeowners meet with counselor's to avoid foreclosures. This was held yesterday at the Yerwood Center and they had a wonderful turnout. We were so impressed by his initiative, that we wanted to let him know. I used the same image from Inky Antics. I can't locate who makes the sentiment that I used (sorry!)
Here is a close up again:

The tag was pretty easy to make. I know I saw these posted on Splitcoast Stampers, but I came up with my own measurements. The tag is 3 1/2" wide by 6" long. I scored at 4 1/2" inches and then found the center and used my 1 3/8" hole punch for the bottle neck. The paper is from My Mind's Eye - "Bohemia" Thanks for looking!!!
